Become a Believet™ Ambassador!
As a volunteer Ambassador for Believet™, you will be spreading awareness in our communities about our mission to help our military men and women regain their freedom, independence, and return to a more normal life. Your role as an Ambassador will be to encourage and inspire our community members to get involved with Believet™ through volunteering, donating, or to share the benefits of our program to veterans who may qualify for a service dog. Ambassadors handle service dogs in training or Ambassador dogs at community events, small and large group presentations, and expo booth events.
Become a Believet™ Foster!
Believet™ relies on our incredible foster families who care for the puppies that grow into life saving service dogs for veterans. Our fosters have the option to raise a puppy full time in their home until the dog is ready for the next phase of training. Fosters can also choose to take our service dogs in training on the weekends to socialize, expose them to new environments and give them a chance to relax and be a dog.
*Puppy fosters are required to attend scheduled training classes with Believet™ trainers to help prepare their puppies for service work, weekend fosters are not required to attend training classes.
Help Behind the Scenes
It takes an army to build an organization. Within Believet™, there are numerous volunteer positions to help our mission including:
-Veteran Admissions Committee (occupation in the medical field or veteran services required)
-Administrative and Program support for veterans, their families, donors, and people
interested in Believet™’s mission.
-Kennel and Facility Maintenance
-Media and Marketing
-Board of Directors
–Event Planners
–Fundraiser Volunteers: Help with set up, clean up, registration, donation collections and check out, retail, raffle ticket sales, food service, and more!
Background checks are required for: Fosters, Ambassadors, and positions that handle funds or private information.
