About Believet
Our Mission
At Believet, we are committed to improving lives through the healing power of dogs. We are a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a proud history of serving military veterans struggling with PTSD, MST and other disabilities. We are also committed to serving others in our communities who are at risk or in need of the incredible impact offered by well-trained dogs. Our veteran program ensures that veterans in need are paired with exceptional service dogs, while our Believet Dog Training Academy programs serve families, children, seniors and community organizations like veteran's homes, first responder organizations, schools, family courts. Believet is dedicated to improving the health, wellness and futures of humans, and the dogs that share their lives.
Our History
Believet founder Sam Daly joined the United States Marine Corps in 2010 as a civilian contractor providing bomb detection dogs to frontline units. During his deployments to Afghanistan, Sam witnessed firsthand the comfort, emotional support and security these highly trained dogs brought to the Marines they served and protected.
After his return to Minnesota, Sam partnered with his friend John Sinning, a local businessman and United States Army veteran, and they founded Believet Canine Service Partners to provide service dogs, free of charge, to American military veterans with PTSD, MST and other disabilities.
